Bosch 4410 10-Inch Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw You Must Read This Review First

Is Bosch’s 4410 sliding compound miter saw one the best miter saws? Perhaps it’s best to say that it is amazingly aligned, which is a primary feature of any top rated miter saw. The 4410 has excellent accuracy out-of-the-box. The premium blade included with the tool is a smooth cutting blade, though many users have opted for far superior blades. The most impressive feature of this saw is innovation of design that is put into this tool. Particularly the adjustable control grip, is an amazing addition to Bosch’s line of miter saws. The grip can be adjusted for those that prefer any of four different positions. Additionally the up front bevel lock and range selector make adjusting the 4410 a breeze for bevel cuts.

Rating: ★★★★☆

10-inch miter saws are not known for their large capacities and as such always call into question the need for a larger tool. If you are not a professional that is doing large crown molding jobs, you’ll find the 4410 a perfect fit for your needs. As a sliding saw it is able to cut materials up to 12″ in length at a straight cross cut. With a maximum cutting height of 3 5/8″ is is easily capable of handling most of the jobs thrown at it. Though you will need a bit of careful examination of your saw to ensure that there is no deflection in the blade on long cuts. Diagonally nested crown can be cut to an full 6 inches and this is enough to handle some of the larger pieces out there. You will not be disappointed.

Rating: ★★★☆☆

This is one of the most consistently accurate compound miter saws out-of-the-box. Very few users have ever reported a need to adjust the saw after purchasing. This speaks to the quality of craftsmanship put into this tool. However, you will find that this tool is in need of constant attention across the life. Before starting any job, you’ll want to check and possibly adjust the fence back to true. That being said the laser light on this tool is not worth the extra you’ll spend. It also deserves to be said once more that the slide arm has the tendency to drift. Some reports on this tool even speak to the sliding mechanism not being true to the blade when at bevel. This results in a stepped and rough edge to cuts made in this manner.

Rating: ★★½☆☆

As a hobbyist tool this saw will probably serve well, though professionals will find more use out of other tools in the Bosch line. The range of inaccuracies and bulky structure do make for a far less superior tool than others you can find for similar price. There is a range of uses for this tool, however for more precise needs you’ll want to look elsewhere.

The innovations that make up this tool great are truly exceptional. Given the history of reports the tool might have once been a great tool. It seem likely that a change was made in the manufacturing of this miter saw a few years into its development and that is what has made the tool merely mediocre.  This is of course pure conjecture on this reviewer’s part.

Buy the Hitachi C10FCE2 NOWBuilt like a tank and smooth as silk. This 10″ can do almost everything a bigger 12″ can, but it’s a lot smaller and easier to handle. Everything is robust and well made, and even though it’s beefy, everything is very smooth and precise. I checked all the alignments from the factory and they were dead on. I didn’t have to adjust anything. I don’t know how comparable saws are, but the only thing that seemed like it could use some work was the dust collection. There is dust everywhere, but I really couldn’t see how the dust collection point could be in a better place. I seriously looked at 4 other saws including DeWalt and Ridgid and I’m convinced I definitely got the best saw and the best deal.
