The Forrest Chopmaster is a remarkable cutting tool that leaves glass smooth cuts everytime. The blade is designed to slice through all types of wood cleanly and effortlessly. Whether you are using soft woods like pine or poplar or hard woods like oak and Hickory you’ll experience little tear out. And the blade encounters almost no resistance all the way through the wood.
Smooth cut edges are the best thing to encounter when you install a new saw blade. This blade does not fail to deliver in that regard. Sanding after cutting is almost not necessary since the circle burn and rough edges just don’t exist. This in itself make the Forrest Chopmaster a superior blade.
This blade makes claim to a zero tear out capbility, I’m not sure I’ve see a blade that doesn’t but to be accurate there is and can be a small portion of the cut that tears out and will need to be cut or sanded. This can be prevented however by using a small bit of sacrificial wood underneath the cut. Remember that there is no blade in the world that provide absolutely zero tear out. Just know that for the glass smooth cuts you’ll get you will be getting less tear out than just about any other blade currently available.
The price tag on this blade is surely one of the biggest. You will pay for the quality of cut it provides you. However if you are truly looking to step up your game you will do far less to improve than to buy this blade. You will get what you pay for.
With this level of precision, you really need to consider that you get what you pay for. If you want to save a bit though you will buy this blade from Amazon since they have one of the best prices around. You will not be disappointed.
Check out what other users have to say about this circular saw blade:
This blade of extremely hard C4 carbide & the neg hook design make for the best chop saw cut I have encountered yet. You can get a reflection from the end grain cut of a piece of hard maple.I use these blades every day all day in a high end cabinet shop, and leave them on the machines for months without need of sharpening. The blade is very well balanced and I would definitely recommend a blade stiffener. I have spent the money and bought the other brands but in no way do they compete with the quality & durability of the Forrest line. You will not be disappointed.
